There is a risk of catching Covid 19 but you can drastically reduce the risk by social distancing, washing hands frequently, not touching your face etc.
My wife and I played on our green this morning, only two players allowed at the green at any one time, used our own equipment, didn't enter the clubhouse and enjoyed our first roll of the year. And we felt it! Two members arrived as we finished and we exchanged a few words and left them to it.
The increase in risk between staying at home and bowling was, in my opinion, so marginal that it was not worth worrying about.
However, each to his own and we must all do what we feel is right for us.

However can someone explain to me why the current rules are as they are. No more than six people are allowed on or around the green at any one time. However go on a beach or into a park and it doesn't matter if there is a thousand and six as long as you keep 2 meters apart. Where is the logic in the two rules. Now i am going to go into a dark room and scream and pull my hair out.
